>What is Avian Wood?
Avian Wood is the finest Lodge White Pine, hand picked directly from the mill. It then has all of its exterior removed making it the cleanest and the safest wood on the market today. It is then cut down to all shapes and sizes appropriate for the biggest to the smallest of birds. We color with only the safest, all-natural food-grade dyes.

Avian wood is softer than other woods that are commonly used for bird toys, but is chewed apart in smaller chunks which makes it last longer. Not only that, it keeps the birds interest because it is softer, which generally means the entire toy becomes destroyed over time instead of having a toy hang untouched in their cage. Avian wood comes in sizes from very small (for the very small and delicate chewers) to massive chunks (for the very, very destructive chewers) so make sure you get the toy with the appropriate sized blocks for how destructive your bird is or how destructive you want him to be.
